Summary of Position

The Commercial Finance Manager is responsible for handling the financial aspects as a liaison between Finance department and Sales and Marketing.

 Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of Cost build-ups and price offers to customers

• Participate in price negotiations with customers.

• Carry out financial analysis / modelling on proposed projects so as to support decisions to be made

• Performing both contract and customer profitability analysis

• Developing sound financial assessments of new contracts to ensure financial risks are properly recognized and addressed

• Participate in the drafting of customer contracts and monitoring performance against contract

• Tracking company’s performance / delivery against customer orders / demands

• Continuous monitoring of raw material landed costs so as to indicate need for price renegotiation and adjustments

• Other duties as required

Job Requirement

Qualification

• Degree in: Finance, Accounting, Commerce or any Business related Degree

Experience

• 8 years’ experience in a commercial organization either in sales or finance

Required skills

• Ability to carry out quantitative analysis and draw relevant conclusions

• Demonstrated customer service skills and high level communication (Verbal and written) and interpersonal skills including negotiation and dispute resolution skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet competing deadlines

• Ability to use a range of computer applications excellent use of Excel and any other package used in analysis

• Analytical thinking and Commercial Acumen

• Working under pressure
