Job Description

Project Database Clerk ensure that the databases run efficiently and securely. For example, they create or organize systems to store different data types, such as financial information and customer shipping records. They also make sure authorized users can access this information when needed.

As a Project Database Clerk you will be in charge of the following:

  • Gathers and complies various data into set databases;

  • Enter and exit  data in a timely and accurate manner into or from Program databases;

  • Provide databases to National Offices and Track basic statistics and trends from the data, in collaboration with the team;

  • Prepare updated figures and information requests, as requested by the location, National and International Offices;

  • Process beneficiaries and source documents by reviewing data; resolving discrepancies or returning incomplete documents to the officers or concerned co-workers for resolution;

  • Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures;

  • Reconcile data entries with hard copies, to ensure proper entry and cross checking;

  • Maintain beneficiaries’ confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential;

  • Respond to information access and retrieval requests from authorized members

Job Requirements

Education 

  • Diploma in related filed such as IT, Secretarial Science and office management

Experience

  • Proven data entry work experience, as a Data entry operator or Office clerk

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with MS Office and data programs

  • Familiarity with administrative duties

  • Experience using office equipment, like printer and scanner machine

  • Typing speed and accuracy

  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation

  • Attention to detail

  • Good level of numeracy;

  • Ability to work under time pressure, independently, and with limited supervision;

  • Initiative, flexibility and willing to learn;

  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned task.

The Pluses:

  • Prior INGO Experience is an asset

  • Additional computer training or certificate will be an asset
