Job Description

Secretaries perform a variety of administrative tasks to help keep an organisation run smoothly. They answer telephone calls, draft and send e-mails, maintain diaries, arrange appointments, take messages, file documents, organise and service meetings, and manage databases

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sorting out, classifying and organizing files, reports and other related documents of the Institution both in Hard and soft copies

  • Handle communications,  share documents to  partners (shareholders, regulators and  other stakeholders of the Institution)

  • Organize and facilitate any meeting of the Board of Directors, General Assembly of the shareholders etc.

  • Record and document minutes of meetings of the Board of Directors and senior management of the Institution as required

  • Carry out other tasks assigned to him by the General manager 

Place of Work: Addis Ababa- Meklit MFI Head Office

Report to: The General Manager 

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • BA Degree in Law, Public Administration ,Administrative Office ,Secretarial office, journalism and communication, Management and Related field with  minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience as secretary of any government,  private and other related Organizations  .

TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

  • Able to communicate and good presentation skill;

  • Ability to interpret, analyze and solve problems;

  • Ability to act in professional and ethical manner;

  • Determined personality with initiative, perseverance and the ability to motivate and manage a team;

  • Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of integrity;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
