Job Description
The Program Coordinator assists with the planning and coordination of programs and their activities. Monitor implementation of program policies and practices. Work to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets, and functioning smoothly. Support program growth and development as necessary.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate periodic program reporting work planning and detail activity planning and support the team to follow up on performance
Support in organizing training, workshops, and important events, compile proceedings and share with relevant persons.
Work across departments to produce monthly update reports, disseminate lessons learned to implement partners and the PSI team in the regions; synthesize information (from DHIS2 and other platforms) and package to help the team prepare for meetings and presentations.
Follow up with the team to ensure that Business development activities are implemented according to originally set time frames using Asana and Smartsheet as program and task management tools.
Coordinate lessons learned from WASH business development implementation and support sharing of best practices in collaboration with consortium partners.
Identify, research, and develop stories, articles, blogs, and news, as requested, and coordinate with the communication team, for program knowledge sharing.
Liaise with GoE partners (national and regional level) to maintain productive, positive working relationships, process agreements and ensure quality reports are submitted on time
Organize the routine schedule of the WASH team and put in place a follow-up tool for process and progress.
Compile quarterly and annual reports for submission for compilation by the program team
Plan and execute key events: regular meetings, trainings and workshops, documentation, and reporting and ensuring follow-up on action points by respective team members.
Background
BA in Social Sciences, Management, or related field
4 years of relevant work experience
Strong computer and written/verbal communication skills.
Passionate about health and social development.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and a quick learner.
Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
Collaborative attitude and ability to get results as a team.
