To this end, the company would like to appoint a Senior Strategic Initiatives Officer at Frontieri.

General Duties and Responsibilities of the Driver Logistician:

  • Facilitate transportation service to Fronteiri Staff, visitors/ clients within Addis Ababa and outside of Addis Ababa;

  • Use log sheet  official trips as per the Frontier’s rules, including daily mileage, fuel consumption

  • Based on the policies and procedures of Frontieri collects proforma invoices and submits them to the concerned authority for approval;

  • Ensure the collection of cheques for various offices and facilitate the receipt of invoices accordingly;

  • Facilitate the submission of Bid to various organizations, and part-taking in the opening of submitted bids and reporting the result of the bid accordingly;

  • Facilitate activities such as customs clearance and travel documents of Frontieri;

  • Ensure that the vehicle she/he  is driving is  insured

  • Ensure validity of her/his driving license

  • Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the car, checking oil, water, brakes, tires, safety protocol (First Aid and Fire Extinguisher), and renewal of insurance on time, avail the vehicle for annual technical inspection

  • Take responsibility for the safety of the vehicle assigned, tools and accessories

  • Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and usable at all times

  • Follow up on  maintenance need of the vehicle and promptly reports back to the immediate supervisor

  • Collect and delivers postages and documents from/to post office and various offices on daily basis;

  • Report accidents timely to her/his supervisor and nearby police stations for early communication to insurance companies.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience:

  • Diploma and grade 3 or above driving license;

  • 7 years and above direct working experience;

Technical Skills

  • Trustworthy and reliable;

  • Valid driving license and good driving record;

  • Physical fitness and willingness to work under pressure, possible long working hours, and frequent field travel;

  • Proven integrity and good human relation.

  • Basic mechanical skills to be able to do small repairs if necessary;

  • Competency in local languages, basic spoken English

  • Respect, accountability, courage, excellence, customer focus, stress tolerance, interpersonal skill, collaboration, and information monitoring.

  • The incumbent is required to collaborate and work with all travelers.
