Main Purpose

The Cashier custodies cheque books and cash while preparing payment settling advances

To complete basic financial and administrative tasks as needed

To ensure by preparing timely payments, the efficient functioning of the Project office and to support other staff to complete their duties effectively

Department Finance & Admin

Location Bahir Dar, Wolayita Sodo, Hosanna, Ethiopia

Reporting To Senior Finance officer

Main Duties

1.       Prepare and organize payments based on requests

2.       Settle accountability sheet and receipts and reconcile

3.       Keep cheque books and cash safe all the time

4.       Banking; withdraw and deposit cash

5.       Prepare and pay tax obligations

6.       Preparing Performa analysis document and submit for approval.

7.       Complete, label and forward payment, settlement and collection files to respective accountant timely

8.       Maintaining bank balance record up to date

9.       Work closely with Addis Ababa and site finance teams

Education

Degree in accounting

Experience

1 to 2 years of experience in the position, desirably in NGO
