Duties and responsibilities of Fleet Manger

The Fleet Manager is responsible for developing efficient vehicle deployment, maintenance service schedule. The fleet manager is also responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles..

• Planning and coordinating the overall operation of the company’s vehicles

• Directing company’s drivers to adhere to strict schedules.

• Processing the Registering and licensing and other issues related with vehicles

• Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.

• Maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection.

• Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

• Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.

• Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service.

• Analyzing data to increase business operational efficiency.

• Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles in case of theft.

Job Requirements

Requirements and skills

• Bachelor Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Management or related fields.

• 3-5 years in a logistics 2 of which is as a Fleet Manager.

• Experience in the transportation or Tourism industry.

• Problem-solving skills.

• Interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
