Job Description

Project Officer ensure professional standards of work are maintained and projects are completed to time and budget. To complete post-excavation analysis and reporting on projects undertaken in a timely manner and to the highest professional standard. To help develop methods of project initiation, execution and delivery.

There are 4 core project activities being implemented

  • Evaluation of registered firms for apprenticeship matching program

  • Facilitating Interview b/n selected firms and trained youth for potential apprenticeship matching.

  • Organizing Final list of matched firms and trained youth

  • Evaluation of apprenticeship program through visitation of matched firms for the duration of the apprenticeship program 

The Project Manager will have the overall responsibility of managing project team comprised of 11 project officers to be assigned in respective sub-cities. Thus, we are looking for a qualified candidate to lead project activities as a Project Manager.

The Project manager will give strategic guidance to the implementation of core activities and will work with management to achieve planned objectives of the project. The Project manager will represent Info Mind Solutions at every level on various communications and engagements with stakeholders. She/he will maintain effective liaison and working relationship with the appointed Project team and stakeholder representatives. The Project Manager is responsible to report to Info Mind Solution management team.

Key Tasks and responsibilities

A. Pre-Apprenticeship Firm Evaluation

Objective: The main aim of this activity is to collaborate with Ministry of Labor and Skills assigned teams in evaluating registered firms(companies) to qualify for the apprentice program 

  • Prepare a registered firm visitation plan with schedule

  • Prepare all firm evaluation related forms

  • Provide guidance for registered firms to organize all necessary documents including training plan for potential matched youth

  • Prepare firm evaluation report and organize digital copy of all reports/forms 

  • Facilitate orientation for firms passing the evaluation stage

B. Matching Facilitation

Objective: activities under this activity are designed to prepare all resources for effective interview and first round apprenticeship matching 

  • Prepare interview schedule for trained youth and firms

  • Support firms to conduct effective interview of youth

  • Organize and distribute all interview related forms to trained youth and firms

  • Evaluate the interview process and collect forms all completed interviews

  • Prepare profile of firms and youth based on key factors (interest area, location, interview result)

  • Collaborate with Ministry of Labor and Skills teams to conduct 1st round apprentice matching b/n interviewed youth and firms based on profile

  • Inform both youth and firms for confirmation of matching and provide contract for sign up

  • Organize report for all confirmed matchings and collect signed contracts

C. Apprentice Program Evaluation

  • Prepare an apprentice program evaluation schedule based on firm location

  • Carryout evaluation activities in collaboration with Ministry of Labor and Skills team

  • Prepare apprentice program evaluation report

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • B. A in leadership, Management, and Social Science Fields.

  • At least 4 years direct experience in leadership position providing program management and technical assistance.

  • Experience in planning and implementation of M&E activities.

  • Experience in career development project activities

  • Experience in government stakeholder management activities

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal leadership skills--demonstrated ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse target groups

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks concurrently, and meet deadlines in a timely way with attention to detail and quality.

  • Excellent English written and oral communication, as well as basic computer skills.
