Our vision is to be one of the leading producers and exporters of specialty coffee in Ethiopia. Our coffee is grown on our 1500-hectare farm in Masha, western Ethiopia where we have efficient systems for picking, sorting, processing, transporting and delivering for export coffee to the international market. As part of our strategy to strengthen the capacity of our team managing our relationships with and sales to international buyers we are now looking to recruit a Logistics Manager to oversee this important part of our business working from our Head Office in Addis Ababa.

Job Overview

The appointment of a Logistics Manager will add capacity and expertise to our Head Office team in Addis Ababa. The role encompasses a range of responsibilities covering documentation for transport and shipping, and communication and coordination with our contractors and buyers. The Logistics Manager will also be involved in other parts of the business so as to better implement and be informed about the core responsibilities of this role.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Preparation of certification documents;

• Registration of sale and documentation for shipping;

• Communication with buyers and with Ethiopian officials;

• Storage and inventory management; budgeting and pricing.

• The job also requires frequent travel to our farm and other regions.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Business Administration, Operations Management , Logistics (BA degree)

Experience:

• 3 years and above in a logistics role, preferably but not essentially in Ethiopia’s coffee export market

 Skill and Knowledge:

• understanding and knowledge of Ethiopia’s coffee industry

Other Job Requirements

• Language proficiency in Amharic and English - essential

• Familiarity with Electronic Single Window (ESW) - desired

• Experience with certification - desired

• Experience of cupping - desired

• Ability to resolve problems

• Ability to organize well and work to deadlines

• Ability to communicate well and work as part of a team
