We invite qualified applicant for the following vacant position: 

Summary of duty & Responsibility

 Health and Safety Officer is responsible for facilitating compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines to ensure safe working environment and prevent any injuries, accidents and health hazards related to the building environment. 

Duties & Responsibilities

•  Conducts continuous inspection of project sites, to ensure a hazard-free construction environment

• Assesses and approves contractor and subcontractor safety plans and performances and promotes safe practices on site

• Verifies health and safety tools and equipment to ensure good quality and safe construction environment

• Creates valid safety manuals and enforcing safety guidelines and programs within the realm of construction operation

• Conducting successive investigations on accidents, carries out exercises and provides training in managing emergency situations

• Responds to workers’ safety concerns and verifies that all health and safety reports are submitted to concerned departments

• Coordinates and manages all potential issues regarding hazardous materials or waste in the construction environment

• Assists the Project Manager and project team with the preparation of a construction health and safety plan

• Attends project planning meetings and collaborates with construction managers

• Establishes and maintains health and safety communication structures and tests effectiveness of site emergency response plans

• Conducts continuous monitoring of all project health and safety related documents, reports and issues to keep them updated

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education:               

•  BSc in Health/Environmental Science    

Work Experience:      

• 12-15 years’ Experience and working as Health & Safety Officer 6 to 8 years.

 Language:

• Good English communication skills both written and spoken.
