MEPO Contracting & Management Services PLC is a member Company of MIDROC INVESTMENT GROUP and established in December 2008 by the renowned investor Sheik Mohammed H. Ali Al-Amoudi. The Company has been engaged in the supply of construction materials, rental of construction equipment & construction of buildings.

We invite qualified applicant for the following vacant position: 

Summary of duty & Responsibility

Under the general direction & supervision of the Project manager participate during site handover, undertakes plan; direct coordinate the office work according to the construction work program of the project.  Responsible for the execution planning of the work, office engineering work at the beginning stage, subcontractor agreement & payment, interim payment, shop drawing, AS-built drawing, during execution revises work schedule, alternative proposal, provisional acceptance, final payments and  report to the required quality, cost and time

Duties & Responsibilities

Scheduling work program

  • Plans, organize, co-ordinates, supervises, office work of construction activities of the project.

  • Responsible for the execution planning of the project, office engineering work including the beginning stage of the project,

  • Prepares the detailed weekly and monthly plan and work program of the project including resource requirement (manpower, material & equipment) and follow their deployment to site.

  • Compiles as built drawings as per the execution of the project.

  • Prepares and revises work schedule and Alternative proposal where necessary and ensure its application.

  • Ensures the proper deployment and utilization of manpower, material and equipment resources as per the plan during execution.

  • Prepares cash flow/monthly budget for the project and ensure its application

  • Prepares materials requirement of the project with its respective quantity  for monthly project activities

  • Prepares work schedule and follow up its application.

2. Evaluating work executed with its plan and give feedback for its

accuracy.         

  • Checks the application of work request format throughout the project

  • Checks and approve report of material, manpower and equipment with comparison of plan Vs status of the project

  • Checks and approve record of work variations, with its price

  • Checks and approve daily take-off preparation with actual work executed

  • Conducts follow up work executed according to the plan.

  • Checks and approves  all  payments under her/him

  • Prepares sub-contract works, ensure the work completed before effecting the payment.

  • Prepares work plan to his /her subordinate control their efficiency.

  • Prepare and check Provisional acceptance and Report documents according to the required quality, cost and time.

  • Prepares and checks final payment and its report documents.

  • Conducts Close follow up the payment until released from the resident engineer.

  • Discusses with the project manager, control, consultants and perform other activities.

  • Makes a close follow-up of the operation and prepares cost analysis or as necessary together with the Project Manager and/or Construction Engineer

3.  Human Resource

  • Gives full technical and managerial support to all his staff and solves problems encountered on time and develop team work spirit.

  • Ensures that each employee is supplied with a supervisor & follow-up its implementation and crew productivity (data base).

  • Delegates his powers and authority to his staff as deemed necessary with prior approval from the Project manager.

  • Holds regular meetings with his staff pertaining to work progress, coordination, and other special problems.

  • Observes that personal files and documents of the project are properly recorded.

  • Prepare & give job assignment for the employee under him.

  • Supervises all employees under him and evaluate their performance periodically.

4. Material, Machinery & Equipment

  • Ascertains that stock of materials, equipment and machineries are neatly, systematically and safely handled and utilized.

  • Ensures the responsibility and accountability for request of materials and equipment’s timely & accurately.

  • Ensures the effective & efficient utilization of material & equipment.

5. Reporting

  • Checks, approves & sends daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual progress, resource utilization, cash flow and performance output report etc & confirm the delivery of the report to the project.

  • Checks daily productivity report in comparing daily production plan Vs execution, with appropriate expenses knowing the labor force, the material and equipment used.

  • Checks and approve daily, weekly and monthly progress with minimal acceptable wastage range for resource utilization, cash flow and performance output etc.

6. Others

  • Contribute and Maintain personal devotion including late working hours (extended time as deemed necessary) effort for the overall success and vision of the company

  • Undertake any other responsibility assigned by the project manager

  • Ensures the responsibility and accountability for request of materials and equipment’s timely & accurately.

  • Ensures the effective & efficient utilization of material & equipment.

  • Accepts and implements any urgent tasks ordered by the project manager

7. Safety

  • Ensuring that all staffs are using PPE (Personal protective equipment).

  • Sorting the necessary & unnecessary documents

  • Setting in order the necessary documents.

  • Shines/ keeps clean all the shelf's which the documents are available

  • Standardizes and making rule for protection of documents & files.

  • Performs other duties as assign by immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Additional Special Skills:

He/she have to be the most knowledgeable person in the project, regarding the project.

  • MS/Primavera Project /Planner Software,

  • AutoCAD

  • Microsoft Office tools

Qualification Requirements

Education:               

  • BSc in Civil Engineering or Construction Management  

Work Experience:      

  • 10-12 years’ experience and working as Office Engineer 4 to 6 years.

License:

  • Professional License is Mandatory

Language:

  • Good English communication skills both written and spoken.
