Nunhems Ethiopia PLC is now recruiting a qualified and result oriented Production Administrator and Management Assistant assisting the Managing Director.

Production Administrator and Management Assistant – Addis Ababa (Lebu Office)

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Production Administrator and Management Assistant is the Service Desk Agent supporting the Managing Director and undertaking a variety of administrative tasks and is the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director thereby often acting as the Managing Director's first point of contact:

Your responsibilities:

  • Acting as a first point of contact: dealing with correspondence, phone calls and visitors on behalf of the Managing Director

  • Managing diaries and organizing meetings and appointments, often controlling access to the Managing Director

  • Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation for the Managing Director, other senior staff and visitors.

  • Organizing events and conferences

  • Reminding the executive management of important tasks and deadlines

  • Typing, compiling, and preparing reports, presentations and correspondence in English and Amharic

  • Managing databases and filing systems

  • Implementing and maintaining procedures/administrative systems

  • Liaising with staff, suppliers, visitors, and government stakeholders

  • Collating and filing expenses,

  • Preparing monthly, weekly, and daily reports to the management

  • In charge of Office Management

  • Process and administrate production contracts (own productions, direct and 3rd parties), and related correspondence.

  • Responsible for stock seed administration (reception, allocation, and shipment).

  • Miscellaneous tasks to support the Managing Director

Your place of work:

You will be based at the BASF Vegetable Seeds office at Lebu, Addis Ababa. Occasionally you will be required to travel to the BASF Vegetable Seeds production farm at Arerti.

Start of the assignment:

Assignment will start as of 1st of December 2022

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Economics or Business-related fields with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Having work experience in a foreign multinational is considered a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Excellent written and spoken skill of English and Amharic language.

  • Possessing excellent coordination and communication skills.

  • Strong interest to learn, adapt and cope with any assignment
