Job Description
Front Office Managers supervise the day-to-day operations of front desks and reception areas for businesses primarily in the hospitality industry. They train and manage staff, supervise administrative and clerical duties, and address customer complaints and queries.
Scope of Responsibility
Be fully responsible for the overall operation and management of the Front Office Department, implement and execute the Resort marketing and financial policies and systems, maximize the room revenue of the resort, provide guests with excellent quality services and improve guest satisfaction under the directions of Room Division Manager and General Manager of the Resort in accordance with the Standard Operating System and business plan of Front Office Department Manual of the resort and the Haile Hotels and Resorts corporate guidelines and service concepts. As part of the management team, you will be required to cover Manager on Duty shift as part of your duties.
Detail Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Know and abide by HHG and the resort’s pillars (management philosophy, strategic goals, values/principles/norms, Mission, and Vision)
Be aware and work in line with HHG and the Resort’s standards of operation and departmental procedures
Prepares the departmental budget and business plan and ensure its implementations.
Oversees and participates in the prompt and courteous check-in and check-out of guests
Checks the arrival list, conference guest list, and VIP list and informs appropriate individuals on returning guests, VIP’s and special guests
Be proficient in all Front Office procedures to be a resource when needed
Challenges Front Office staff to utilize yield management, occupancy and average room rate to maximize room revenue
Perform periodic work performance report and plans as required by the management.
Monitors Front Office activities regarding discounts, billing instructions, and compliance with hotel credit policies.
Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve the department’s efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function
Analyses credit check report daily for possible doubtful accounts.
Make sure nights audit is run up to standards.
Maintains statistics on rooms and reservations, customer arrivals and departures, average occupancy rates and related information
Ensures that Front Office is staffed according to need by utilizing business forecasts to schedule employees
Utilizes leadership skills and motivation to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction
Monitors the Front Office team’s overall service and teamwork daily and focuses on how to improve and increase service delivery efficiency

Major Essential Qualifications:
BA degree in Hotel/Tourism Management or related
At least 3 years of work experience as front office supervisor/4 years in related work/position.
Strong managerial experience and qualities
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Strong public relation skills
Fluent speaking and writing skill of foreign language (minimum fluent in the English language)
Good business acumen
Problem-solving skills
Pleasing personality and positive attitude, and passion to serve.
Good physical appearance,
Technology savvy.
