Under close Supervision, Operate boilers, produces steams and properly conditions cured leaf during the leaf production seasons and works on the assigned shifts, Operates Generators Water pumps performs minor and medium electrical maintenance and regular service on electrical lines and equipment's, curing barns, generators and participates and assists in medium and major maintenance and overhaul work.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Operates boilers, produces steams and properly conditions cured leaf during the leaf production seasons and works on the assigned shifts, Operates Generators as required.

• Inspects  electrical works, facilities and all electrical maintenance work and identifies repair and maintenance work required;

• Follow repair and maintenance of electrical works, facilities, daily weekly, and monthly maintenance activities to be performed. 

• Actively works on electrical repair and maintenance activities, prepares plans for maintenance of activities electrical works in close collaboration with his/her Line Manager.                                                                                                              

• Conducts minor maintenance of electrical work on, pumps, generators, curing burns;                                                                                                                                                

• Identifies problems of Boilers, Generators, Water pumps and if a serious problem is detected, reports to immediate supervisor, Requests and avails required fuels, spares and other required materials for Boilers, generators & pumps;                                                     

• Keeps Boilers, Generators, other machineries, equipment, tools and workplace clean, orderly and conducive; handles spare parts, equipment, tools and maintenance materials and consumables properly.                                                                       

• Complies with established working practices, procedures and EHS systems, procedures and regulations,

Other:

• Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

Job Requirements

Education:

• College Diploma in  Electricity or Electronics

Work Experience:

• 2 years of work experience in electrical maintenance activities

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Collective Labor Agreement, Internal Regulations & safety policies of the company.

Skills:

• Electrical maintenance and repair activities, 

• Good knowledge of Boilers,  Generators, and Electrical maintenance including, all electrical materials.
