JOB DESCRIPTION

We are searching for a skilled and professional Human Resource Manager for our hotel. 

Our hotel being a fierce competitor in the industry needs talented people for our departments. Your role is to recruit the staff for different departments and train them for their specific roles. You will be responsible to evaluate them on the basis of performance and maintain their payroll. 

This role requires excellent communication skills and efficiency to deal with the staff of different levels. You are expected to provide them with necessary information regarding their role in a team and their responsibilities.

You will act as a bridge between the management and the employees and will be responsible for planning and implementing new HR strategies and oversee our entire HR operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design hiring plans for all hotel departments based on seasonal needs

  • Interview and assess job candidates

  • Manage compensation and benefits plans and salary scale of entire hotel

  • Oversee employee attendance and working schedules, including paid time off, overtime and breaks

  • Onboard new hires 

  • Report on employee turnover rates and other key HR metrics

  • Organize employee records, such as contracts, work permits, visas etc...

  • Implement employee retention programs 

  • Coordinate accommodation, catering and transport for our staff when necessary

  • Schedule trainings for all hotel employees (for example, customer service skills training)

  • Act as the point of contact when employees have queries or job-related issues

  • Create and maintain positive employment culture and promote wholistic teamwork

  • Ensure hotel staff complies with relevant health and safety regulations

Job Requirements

  • Work experience in the hospitality industry Human Resources for at least 10 years

  • Experience and knowledge in conducting interviews

  • Experience and deep understanding of Ethiopian labor legislation 

  • Excellent communication skills

  • BSc in Hospitality, Hotel Management, Human Resources, or similar field
