A Research Assistant is a professional who supports research projects by conducting literature searches, data management and maintaining files for project Researchers.
Main Role & Responsibilities:
Conduct clinical evaluation on the study participants
Recruit, screen, and enroll eligible participants
Ensure eligibility criteria for proper enrollment of potential study participants
Perform the consenting process with eligible study participants
Fill in clinical evaluation, laboratory results, and other necessary information on the study questionnaires
Perform some clinical tests related to the study
Collect specimens from eligible study participants
Trace and follow study participants on a timely basis together with the study/field coordinator
Job Requirements
Medical Degree
Experience of TB research and research participant handling; directly related to tuberculosis patients is advantageous
Experience in collecting information and clinical sample for the research purpose related to tuberculosis patient participants is advantageous
Excellent interpersonal communication and good personal organization skills.
Good communication ability and commitment
Good judgment and willingness to take initiative when appropriate
Goal oriented and time conscious
