Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the overall progress of the FMNR Scale-Up and One Tree projects implementing planned activities, monitoring implementation progress, managing the project risks, capturing lessons learned, etc.
Develop Educational and advocacy materials, FMNR training manuals, guides and produce other tools for FMNR scale-up implementation and disseminated through media channels , technical platforms and capacity building trainings.
Support design and development of new projects in area of Environment, Climate change, renewable energy system, Agroforestry, FMNR, and climate change, resilience and rural livelihood
Develop Mechanisms for multinational experience sharing of scaling/intensification approaches and good of FMNR practices
Scale-Up APs FMNR and One Tree project coordination and partners capacity development on farmers and local stakeholder mobilization and capacity development supported
Responsible for implementation and refinement, where necessary, of innovative extension approaches and best FMNR and other re-greening practice within the country
Organize and take part in end line surveys and final analysis of the two project outcomes and outputs and produce quality reports on monthly, quarterly and annually and submit to ILaNS head
Additional assignment by the thematic area leads as well as the Technical Programme
Job Requirements
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
MSc in Natural resource management, Farm forestry, rural development, and other related fields.
Experience: 8 years' experience in designing, managing/ coordinating development programs/ projects majorly those related to Agroforestry, FMNR, and climate change, resilience rural livelihood in INGOs Context.
Working experience in community led natural resource management and exposure to evergreen agriculture, climate smart agriculture and degraded land management
Additional working experience on promotion and advocacy related project activities
Technical Training qualifications required:
preferred candidates are those who have experience in carbon monitoring, climate change and natural resource management, conservation and sustainability, biodiversity, alternative energy sources, project management
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
Work environment: Office-based with frequent travel to the field
