Job Description
Automotive electricians install, maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles such as air conditioning systems, lamps, radios, heating systems, batteries, electrical wiring and alternators. They use diagnostic testing equipment to inspect vehicles and find faults. To do repair work, they use hand tools and specialised electrical instruments and machines.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
B.Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Auto Electricity or equivalent from recognized University or Technical College, plus
Advanced knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems
Relevant Work Experience
Minimum 4 years work experience for B.Sc. Degree or 10 years work experience for Diploma graduate on repairing electrical system, components & installation of electrical wires of light vehicles with gasoline and diesel engines and 2 years advanced level (Diagnosis level)
Other Requirements
Ability in Advanced Diagnostics & repair manual skill
Ability in fixing key changes and Installing & troubleshooting immobilizer system
Ability to Install new electronic components in vehicle wiring systems
Ability to assess the electrical system of a vehicle using diagnostic testing equipment
Ability in wiring hardness repair skills
IDS or equivalent diagnostic tools skill
Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
Familiarity with the necessary equipment and the use of safety materials
Very good communication skills both in Amharic and English.
3rd Grade Driving license
Computer Literate
