Under the direct supervision of the finance department the Cashier Accountant (hereafter “Cashier”) handles all petty cash operations, documentation and posting as per the petty cash SOP in place and guidance of the finance department.

The incumbent will also be responsible for management of the, Mobile Money transaction system to be performed with all branches.

This is a multi-functional position requiring a great degree of motivation, planning, flexibility and creativity and a high degree of self-direction, organization and ethics.

Routine work will be performed with minimal guidance. It is anticipated that the duties and deadlines of this position may require the incumbent to work beyond normal working hours. Responsibilities as a cashier include accepting personal responsibility and financial liability for funds after successful completion of the requisite training for performing cashier duties.

GENERAL RESPONIBILITIES

• Manage transactions with all users of petty cash

• Scan petty cash payment documents and upload to the system

• Pay all users after getting the proper approval as per the given guideline

• Cross-refer all documents used for settlement with PCPV vouchers

• Settle all petty cash funds on time

• Maintain clean and tidy documentation

• Track transactions on a daily basis and prepare petty cash replenishment summaries when required/needed

• In order to be selected for this position, the applicant must have the following qualifications:

Education

• Completion of B.A. Degree in Accounting, from reputable institution and

• Expertise of Oracle system

Work Experience:

• At least four (04) years performing work in Cashiering, technical/clerical accounting or bookkeeping ;
