Job Description
Purpose:
Under the direction of the Entity Finance Manager, the incumbent will, plan, direct, coordinate, and control the overall position of the Fixed Assets for the entity.
The incumbent also works closely to reconcile fixed assets and construction in progress (CIP), placing assets into service as per IFRS and JTI Group Accounting Manual. He/she will also make sure depreciation is calculated correctly as per useful lives. He/she will also manage disposals of assets.
The incumbent will assist the business owners with the fixed assets annual count and accurate tagging of assets.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
Plan, organize and directly control and maintain fixed assets for the entity
Reconciliation of fixed asset and Construction in Progress (CIP) costs incurred to the ledger
Placing assets into service in accordance with IFRS and JTI Group Reporting Manual
Calculating depreciation based on accurate useful lives
Managing disposals of assets that are scrapped or sold, accurate accounting of such transactions and strict adherence to statutory and JTI disposal compliance procedures
Oversee yearly fixed assets count and assist business owners. Support accurate tagging of new assets
Work with Group Reporting Supervisor for accurate monthly reporting of fixed assets movements in accordance with JTI Group reporting trial balance requirements.
Education:
BA Degree in Accounting or Finance
ACCA or Chartered Accountancy Qualification strongly recommended
Proficient English language skill
Required Skills:
Microsoft Office (minimum intermediate Excel)
Microsoft Navision
SAP Basic Working Knowledge
Work Experience:
Above 3 years experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods Finance Management (external candidate) with a company that has significant Regional or Global group reporting requirements
