DMC Construction Plc is a first class General Contractor (GC-1) chartered in Ethiopia to provide services in civil work projects, mainly road construction and maintenance, building construction and maintenance, water works, airfield construction, water works construction, etc., would like to invite competent Candidates for the vacant position of Project Manager.

·    Directs, coordinates, and implements the plans and programs of the project;

·    Evaluate and determine appropriate construction methods and most cost- effective plan;

·     Responsible and accountable for the project’s economically, efficiently, accurately and timely execution of the contract according to the designs and the specifications;

·    Based on approved plan & program of project, prepares detail construction work; material, labour & equipment schedules on weekly, monthly basis & check their implementation;

·     Effective control of all the resources deployed to the project;

·     Evaluation of planned versus executed works, resources performances, materials utilization,  expense and income of each activity on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis;

·     Organizing, staffing and leading project works team so as to meet the work program;

·     Prepares monthly reports of the work progress which indicates the status of the project-profitability or loss of the project;

·     Establishing good communication with the project team, the supervisory staffs as well as the local authorities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management.

• Minimum 12 years’ experience in road construction and more than 4 years’ experience in similar position

• Software knowledge & efficiency, including Civil 3D, Eagle point, AutoCAD, MS Project and other related software

• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products

• Proven experience in document control and schedule software

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong management skills

• Functions effectively as part of a team

• Exhibits strong leadership qualities

• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Strong decision making/problem-solving skills

• Comfortable public speaking ability

• Understanding of contracts and risk management
