Currently, we are seeking for Accounts Controller, In this role, you are required to provide timely financial information to optimize management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the overall performance of the country in terms of sales strategies and their impact on the operation. Ensure compliance in accordance with HO finance & controlling guidelines.

  • Undertaking monthly reconciliations, ensuring month-end procedures/timetables are met. Preparing & managing the supply of financial information, reports & management report data to the CFO and Country Manager, in particular month-end, quarterly and annual reporting.

  • In charge of the statutory tax matters by ensuring that the company is compliant with all the statutory tax matters, and statutory requirements and handling all the tax issues optimally to ensure the reduction of any tax exposures.

  • Ensures accurate, transparent, relevant and timely management reporting to the country representatives.

  • Liaise with all departments to provide financial support on all financial topics.

  • The initial point of contact for any DPDHL Internal audit, Statutory audit, Tax authority audit or any other adhoc audit as may be required from time to time.

  • Works closely with the HR department to process and optimize monthly payroll transactions.

  • Sanity checks of all payments made by the company by ensuring proper approvals and necessary recoveries from clients have been done.

  • Ensures global internal control framework in the area of scope is implemented and followed. Defines and Implements local policies and internal control procedures to meet globally defined procedures.

  • Provide leadership and coaching to team members in the finance department.

  • Act as a business partner to the Country Management Team through the timely provision of various adhoc reports that may be used to optimize the company's performance.

  • Handling Intercompany accounts in liaison with Shared Service Center.

Job Requirements

Job Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Good knowledge of divisional business          

  • Cross-divisional experience                  

  • Below 10 years of experience in various general finance functions accompanied by a wide experience at the senior level in a service-oriented business          

  • Manages and leads teams through expertise across several different disciplines within the finance function        

Cross-regional experience                   

  • Professional accountancy qualification or university degree or equivalent (MBA, audit qualification)
