DMC Construction Plc is a first class General Contractor (GC-1) chartered in Ethiopia to provide services in civil work projects, mainly road construction and maintenance, building construction and maintenance, water works, airfield construction, water works construction, etc., would like to invite competent Candidates for the vacant position of Project Manager.

• Monitoring and Evaluating of the project works depending on work scheduled on daily, weekly & monthly basis.

• Preparing work programs, materials, man power and machinery schedule and controlling implementation at every stage.

• Preparing construction details, progress reports and payment certificates.

• Preparing different and continuous correspondences in line with the contractual document

• Preparing evidence for any claims such as time extension, variations and price escalations.

• Controlling proper material delivery, efficiency of skilled and unskilled labor, production cost, material consumption and material quantity.

• Preparing Site data like Asphalt, Road base, Sub-base, improved subgrade data and the like using civil 3D design software, Eagle point

• Preparation of progress reports on the bases of different time frames

• Computation of Quantities for Earthwork, sub base, base course, asphalt layers, pipe culverts, Slab culverts, Bridges, retaining walls, paved ditches and other bill items.

• Preparation of road cross section template drawing using Eagle point, Civil 3D design software and AutoCAD software

• Preparation and justifications of safe and economical modification proposals to the road and structural designs prepared by consultants for the best accomplishment of the project.

• Preparation of major and minor structure drawing using Eagle point, Civil 3D design software and AutoCAD software

• Communication with the consulting staff and sub-contractors.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in road construction and more than 6 years’ experience as an Office Engineer/Quantity Surveyor in Road Construction/Design Projects

• Software knowledge & efficiency, including Civil 3D, Eagle point, AutoCAD, MS Project and other related software

• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products

• Proven experience in document control and schedule software

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Functions effectively as part of a team

• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times

• Understanding of contracts and risk management
