Purpose 

To maintain the store as required by HfJ’s finance policy and government guidelines.

To support project office to provide standard and holistic service provision to children who are under our care in the shelter by managing and custody of inventory in and out.

Department - Finance & Admin

Location - Bright Lighthouse, Bahir Dar

Reporting To - Project Manager 

Main Duty 

- Receive, record and store goods purchased 

- Keep correct records of each item in the stock books/computer spread sheet provided

- Maintain a separate BIN Card for each line items and update up on receipt, Issuances or Transfer

-  Release items to the center staff as required, receiving a requisition for the goods and obtaining a signature for these goods on a goods received receipt

- Maintain stock in an organized storage system ensuring that older goods are used first

- Inspect, check against Delivery order/Invoice Issue and issue Goods receiving

- Issuing Goods and Goods Issuance note up on approval of Store requisition form.

- Ensuring that the store is kept clean and organized

- Maintain policies, procedures and systems that provide the requisite safeguarding measures for children accessing our services in collaboration with the Country DSO.

- Assist in year end and surprise stock count procedures

- Issue a report for Senior Procurement officer and Project manager on stock level

- Assist in other areas as needed

Job Requirements

Experience & Education

- Diploma in vocational training and certificate in computer training

-  Experience working with vulnerable girls

- At least 2 years of experience working with vulnerable children

Soft Skills 

·  Being empathy, proactive problem solving , Contributing to team success

stress tolerance, and client focus.

Technical Skills

- Organized and punctual, Excellent verbal and written communication skills and Firm belief in teamwork,
