Job Description
Main Tasks:
Leading the digitalization of country programs for effective learning across the organization, and partners and for improved impact measurement. Establishing a digital culture in the organization so that digital solutions are considered by default in all new Helvetas Ethiopia initiatives. Initiating digital alternatives for projects/programs and operations management.
Specific Tasks:
Develop the country's digitalization strategy and work with Helvetas Global Digital Transformation team and country team to lead the country’s digitalization process.
Support the rollout of Monitoring and Evaluation digitalization at project and program levels.
Based on the organization’s digitalization needs, explore, recommend, adapt and/or develop digital alternatives for programs.
Explore and recommend digital/blended learning options to country projects.
Promote and manage online collaboration spaces.
Maintain and manage online knowledge repositories for internal and external communication and exchanges.
Build relevant and meaningful ICT4D partnerships.
Leveraging digital technologies for development.
Establish a digital culture in the organization so that digital solutions are considered by default in all new Helvetas Ethiopia initiatives.
Support and build the capacity of technical staff participate in digitalization.
Job Requirements
Qualification, Experience and Competency:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, or relevant field of study from an accredited university/college.
At least 5 years of experience in successfully developing and managing databases, creating data visualization, and conducting data analysis.
In-depth knowledge of database technologies, architecture, and data security.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and skills in R, Python, MS SQL are desirable.
Expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Power Query/Pivot, VBA, DAX.
Familiarity with data analysis and mapping software including Stata/SPSS, Arc-GIS, QGIS.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Shares and promotes the values and development concept of HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and with team members and partners at all levels.
