Job Description

Project Coordinators are responsible for ensuring the schedule, budget and details of a given task are well organized. They communicate with various departments to keep everyone on board about any changes to the project plan. In addition, they organize reporting, plan meetings and provide updates to project managers.

Job Requirement

  • Educational Qualification: BA/MA Degree in Project Management, Economics, or related fields   from a recognized University or Colleges.

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years experience on Project

Key skills required:

  • Plan project document with the relevant staff includes activities and developing project budget.

  • Organize and lead project team of the project.

  • Monitor project progress as per accepted monitoring system as per the set deadline.

  • Manage and controls the physical and financial implementation of project activities.

  • Understand and document the goal, objectives, and scope of the project, and then define the precise scope and specific deliverables required.

  • Deliver key project documentation such as the Project Definition Document, Project Plan, Business Case, and issue and risks logs.

  • Design and develop Project Plans, Stage Plans, Contingency Plans and, where necessary, Exception Plans to deal with exceptional circumstances.

  • Allocate tasks to team members and ensure they are completed within the required timeframe and to the required quality

  • Produce quarter, midyear, and annual and special donor reports and make sure that the reports are of high quality and submitted on time.

  • Run regular project team meetings that define the project, plan its delivery, and then review progress and identify required action.

  • Produce regular progress reports that show progress against the current plan along with the key project issues, risk and dependencies, and maintaining a complete, auditable record of decisions.

  • Liaise with related projects to ensure that work is not overlooked or duplicated, and that resource or schedule inter-dependencies are managed.

  • Manage a change control process to handle requested or required changes to the scope or specification of project deliverables.
