Job Description
The position holder will be responsible for supporting the coordination, planning, and execution, and monitoring of supply chain operations in an organization.
Main Responsibility
Plan warehouses and distribution centers for efficiency in both operations and capacity
Build and maintain good relationships with clients and vendors;
Actively participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities;
Use associated information systems to coordinate and control the order cycle;
Negotiating contracts with suppliers and customers;
Provide support to the Sales Department in servicing clients as required
Provide suggestions within the area of responsibility to Logistics Manager as needed
Keeping an accurate record of the process and analyzing performance;
Coordinate and track the movement of goods through logistic pathways;
Proactively engage suppliers in identifying issues, resolutions and opportunities;
Liaise and negotiate with customers and suppliers as required;
Maintain service quality throughout the logistic processes;
Stay current with knowledge of dispatch, logistics planning, and effective supplier management
Other tasks as required and assigned.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields
Additional skills:
Strong ability to perform well with deadlines;
Excellent written and oral communication
Office computer software experience
Good team player;
Fast learner that can work with minimum supervision
Strong planning and analysis skills;
Knowledge of Pastel, MS Office package
Knowledge of logistics systems;
Working experience: 4+ years experience in related fields
Work Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
