BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

To carry out repair and maintenance works, in the range of minor to medium category, in guest rooms & public areas which includes but not limited to: Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, woodwork, locks & painting works on time and to the excellent quality that comply with the expected standard of the Hotel. To conduct the planned preventive repair & maintenance through the ken fixit regular inspection programs: in Guest rooms, Guest corridors, Villas, Restaurants, Meeting rooms, Pools, Aqua Clubs & other common public areas to ensure to rectify all defects on those areas on time; and to keep those areas clean, tidy & all systems fully functional. To handle promptly urgent guest technical requests & any other urgent repair & maintenance requests in those areas; report back when completed. To work in collaboration with the Engineering Team in achieving common goals; and to assist in supervising & guiding contractors work in your areas of responsibility, when the need arises.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications.  Applicants without the below listed qualifications need not apply as they will not be considered in the competitive pool.

EDUCATION:  Diploma in Electricity, Electronics, General Mechanic, and Plumbing from recognized college. 

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 years experience on maintenance in the related fields. 

E.S.L.C.E ENGLISH GRADE & LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: - C grade or other equivalent grade from the completion of the secondary school; and good verbal & written communication skill in English language are respectively required. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Excellent knowledge of the products and services provided by the hotel, excellent guest contact & Communication skills; good knowledge of reading electrical circuit diagrams; ability to work with minimum supervision and handle multiple assignments is required. Excellent knowledge of tools & machines used in the trade, sound knowledge of reading & understanding as-built drawings and manuals; ability & experience in strictly & consistently applying safe working practices, ability to work with minimum supervision and handle multiple assignments, willing to work in different shift hours other than the day shift, capable of working in a team environment; ability with excellent communication skills (both verbal & written); with good knowledge with the principles of operations & functions of all hotel facilities electrical, mechanical, plumbing, AC and water treatment t systems are also required.
