Environmental, Safety & Health Officer prevents, consults, investigates, and educates employees and managers regarding health risks and maintains a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily a walk through survey to ensure proper housekeeping of compound and the factory with respect to environmental hygiene and safety standards and aware staff to improve findings.

• Verify work related accidents and near-miss investigate cause and take corrective, preventive action plans accordingly.

• Work within a team to prepare and ensure the site safety systems are complaint and meet company expectations.

• Responsible for following all applicable Federal, State, and Local health, safety, and environmental regulations, as per corporate health, safety and environmental policies.

• Investigates complaints relating to health and safety, including reportable accidents and dangerous occurrences.

• Investigates accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.

• Researches, writes and presents detailed reports as required.

• Assists with the development of operational policies and procedures.

• Recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs.

• Inspects and evaluates the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.

• Recommending and executing preventive and implement measures to ensure the enhancement of the safety program.

• Ensuring compliance to safety standards through inspections of operating areas, audits, peration readiness  reviews and through review and approval of operating procedures.

• Actively participating in risk and hazard evaluations for safety reviews of existing processes, equipment and new capital investments.

• Providing timely resolution of safety problems by defining the problem, determining root cause, establishing action plans and priorities, expediting repair and providing technical assistance.

• Prepare daily ,weekly ,and monthly SHE reports ,statistics related to SHE performanc.

• Ensure that new employee, contractors and site visitors receive SHE induction at Kick-off meeting and before entering the factory.

• Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills are conducted to ensure the highest level of preparedness in an  emergency .maintain records of such drills ,providing recommendations for emergency response improvements.

• Conducts daily walk through  inspection on PPE usage in each department ,train staff  and take corrective actions.

• Supervise the overall fire and pest protection activity :,ensuring that  all fire extinguishers are in good condition available in their appropriate place ,inspected ,serviced and refilled periodically as per the schedule.

• Promotes safety and quality and hygiene  in the company.

• Performs related duties as assigned or as situations dictate.

Job Requirements

Education

BSC degree in environmental and occupational health safety science ,environmental science  or related fields from recognized university.

Experience

Minimum 4 years’ experience in beverage industry and exposure to and understanding of implementation ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
