Skill, Experience, Knowledge & Competencies

• BSc in Environment Health Science, Public Health, Health Officer, or related fields that can add value to the post.

• Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Public Health Promotion, Emergency WASH, public health promotion, community mobilization, and experience in INGO organization.

• Experience in emergency response (Drought, AWD, and refugee camps) is essential.

• Experience and understanding of community mobilization in relation to water, sanitation, and hygiene activities.

• Very Good Communication and writing skills in the English language.

• Knowing the local language (Somali Language) is an asset.

Desired

• Knowledge of preparation of IEC material for promoting key public health practices

• Good knowledge of supervision techniques

• Experience in participative methods

• Able to travel and work in conflict-affected areas

• Sensitivity to cultural differences, and the ability to work in a wide variety of cultural contexts
