Job Description
Our client in the manufacturing sector is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join their team. If you have previous experience working in Food and Beverage manufacturing industry, have hands-on experience with production control, maintenance, quality assurance and process activities then this job is for you.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on operational leadership during operations for direct supervisors and manufacturing team.
Evaluate and implement new manufacturing process as it relates to food products.
Prepare, revise and implement different food processing and manufacturing guidelines and workflow and other regulatory documents.
Supervise personnel providing technical and strategic direction towards fulfillment of operation department objectives.
Provide operational excellence support to activities in all manufacturing areas that will increase customer satisfaction, reduce operating cost and improve general productivity.
Provide timely (daily, weekly, Monthly) performance reporting and analysis to different operations sections performance.
Participate in evaluating, monitoring and insuring effective operation of internal controls and disclosure controls
Recruits, trains, develops, and recognizes personnel to achieve targeted strategies, KPIs and goals
Assists in new product development, launches, production and product improvements, product testing and others
Works closely with other functions and in the operation department to develop plans and focus to assure continuous improvements that will benefit Operations
Lead and facilitate monthly safety meetings and lead/assist in the resolution of safety items
Analyze production labor requirements, implementing appropriate capacity decisions within the budget
Promote safety and ensure teams compliance with all safety and environmental rules, policies and procedures
Work with individuals at all levels of the organization to motivate for results
Actively participate in budgeting and forecasting for production planning.
Lead the on-going activities towards startup of a GMP, ISO, and Registration .
Basic Qualification and Requirements
BA or Master’s Degree in Food Science /Engineering, Operations management or Closely related field.
Previous work experience as an Operations Manager preferably in Food Manufacturing, Beverage or related fields for at least 10 years and more than 5 years in senior managerial position.
Ability to Create and sustain a continuous improvement environment
Drive operational Excellence, best practices and continuous improvement.
Hand-on experience of day-to-day management of complex and inter-related manufacturing operations
Understanding of food product manufacturing, utility systems, maintenance, and manufacturing support systems
Demonstrated track record in maintaining GMP compliance
Understanding of quality systems as they apply to manufacturing food product
Experience of process and equipment troubleshooting, investigation and resolution of issues, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Experience of collaborating with supporting departments and other regulatory organizations.
