CCRDA is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our organization as an ICT Officer, the IT Officer manages the operations of the computerized database and information receiving and dissemination systems. The incumbent develops/designs, administers, and monitors efficiently the computer network systems and ensures the installation, updating, and maintenance of the appropriate software in the computer systems within the Secretariat.  

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage the CCRDA e-mail system.

• Manage the CCRDA ICT facilities and Networks.

• Give trainings to staff and members in ICT related subjects as required.

• Assist staff and members as required.

• Update and maintain antivirus and fire wall protection systems. 

• Manage social media (like face book, twitter etc) of CCRDA.

• Handles the management of information system of the CCRDA and prepares a catalogue of available data and information found within the CCRDA.

• Designs, maintains and administers the digital system of CCRDA and ensure the system works and links effectively with the various organs of the Secretariat.

• Evaluates proposed hard & soft infrastructural projects to assess adequacy of existing soft & hardware, and recommends purchase of equipment/applications.

• Prepares simplified manuals and guidelines for use on new IT and software.

• Supervises the management of and efficient utilization of the modern office automation and computerized systems of CCRDA.

• Repairs, maintains and upgrades office computers and software, other IT equipment and appropriate programs to ensure greater efficiency of work and quality of output.  

• Organizes and facilitate training on IT and related computer applications.

• Provides professional advice to CCRDA staff on IT related matters and facilitates.

• Designs mechanisms for safe and careful use of IT equipment by staff and for protection against infection by computer virus.

•  Develops effective mechanisms for and actually undertake electronic storage and back-up of essential data/information.

• Evaluates new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing software and hardware.

• Arrange efficient computer-assisted graphic designs for publication and programs for database and disseminating information through CCRDA Web-Page, e-mail,  news, etc

• Upgrades CCRDA’s capacity in disseminating information by developing systems to facilitate the same.

Job Requirements

Education

• MSc /BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology and other related field of study.

• Short-term trainings on graphic design, motion picture editing is advantages.

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years work experience in hard & software installation, maintenance, networking or related field.

• Experience in content development (digital, print, audio-visual areas) is advantages.

Additional requirement

• Strong computer skills; word processing, spreadsheet and website design.

• Good interpersonal skills & English language proficiency.

• Skills of web site administration and networking.

• Networking ability with IT, computer & information system providers & open source, collaborative solutions.
