Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for performing various tasks including set up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting and, performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines;
Responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and making adjustments, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications;
Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines;
Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select the position and secure machinery;
Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion;
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the machine and operating activities;
Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to the supervisor;
Improve performance and make routine checks to ensure maximum efficiency along with compliance with health and safety regulations;
Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve minor problems as detected;
Work with others in order to ensure that equipment is in proper working order;
Perform other administrative tasks such as recording test results and other data about the plant’s operation
Requirements
Academic qualification
Diploma in general mechanics, electromechanical/electrical/mechanical engineering
Additional qualifications
· Able to communicate verbally and in writing;
· Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, and Excel;
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Machine Operator top skills & proficiencies:
· Ability to Read Blueprints, Schematics, and Manuals.
Years of experience: 4+ years and experience in the manufacturing or construction sector is advantageous
Salary: As per the company scale
Work Place: Bahir Dar
