Job Description
Accountants review and analyse financial statements, budgets, financial reports, and business plans in order to check for irregularities resulting from error or fraud, and provide their clients with financial advice in matters such as financial forecasting and risk analysis. They may audit financial data, resolve insolvency cases, prepare tax returns and provide other tax-related advice in reference to current legislation
Job Requirements
Education:
BA degree in Accounting, Economics or related field of study
Experience:
0-1 years of relevant experience
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries.
Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, cheque and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation.
Prepare income tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheets.
Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations.
Complete end of month close procedures
Prepare journal entries, and complete general ledger operations
Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, draw up monthly financial reports
Prepare analysis of accounts as requested, and assist with year-end closings
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts and payroll administrations
assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
Do others assigned by the operations and administrative manager.
