Job Description
Review the trial balance, detailed ledger accounts and support monthly closing procedure
Monitor outstanding debtor and creditor positions and coordinate appropriate follow up Manage the outstanding receivables and recoverability
Reconcile the monthly financial reporting with the underlying supporting documentation from accounting, HR and operations
Ensure accounting entries (including revenue recognition and accruals) are in accordance with IFRS
Support the internal control, implementation and improvement of finance processes and procedures
Ensure compliance with finance policies (including sales and credit policies)
Monitor inventory movements and accounting
Prepare and monitor sales quantity and price variance reports
Job Requirements
Minimum of BA degree in accounting and finance from a recognized university
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience for a private organization with a background in reporting and internal control
fluent in Amharic and English (speaking and writing), analytical, strong financial knowledge and skills and knowledge of the relevant regulations, proficient skills in using Microsoft office especially Excel and able to plan effectively and efficiently
high level of integrity and accountability, ambitious and hard-working, eager to learn, good feedback mentality, very strong communications skills, structured and a team player
Candidates are required to have good references
Candidates who have worked for an international company and have experience in a FMCG company are preferred
