Job Description
We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven General Manager to direct and manage our organization's business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs. Duties for the general manager will include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. Your entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions will assist our organization in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting
Will serve under the GM of the company
Will lead our coffee export department including planning, organizing, controlling, marketing and sales including direct customer handling, monitoring domestic and international market prices, present analysis to GM
Will regularly and timely report on market situation both on supply and demand side, and export operations Communicate importance of achieving cargo handling time frame outcomes with efficient use of resources.
Develop compliance strategy with internal stakeholders to achieve acceptable level of internal compliance and industry standards.
Develop freight shipment solutions for improvements and/or closing gaps.
Drive corporate social responsibility policies for logistics operations.
Drive environmental protection policies and procedures.
Drive organizational discussion on adoption of the latest technology innovations.
Drive the successful completion of technology projects.
Educate employees on the variations in rating principles and state as well as operator variations.
Engage senior management for buy-in to implement solution identified.
Facilitate exception handling of cargo documentation process according to industry standards or sector requirements.
Influence stakeholders' perspectives of requirements and activities.
Maintain relationships with vendors, carriers, freight forwarders and port authorities to provide competitive shipping solutions to customers.
Manage carrier ranking or customer priority system to ensure strategic business is protected during periods of capacity shortage.
Manage performance of logistics partners to ensure compliance and alignment with customer requirements and contractual obligations.
Motivate colleagues at organizational level to develop innovative solutions.
Resolve escalated incidents and crisis arising from day-to-day operations.
Review changes in compliance/tariff/rate/cost/quotation requirements and eligibility to manage impact on compliance operations.
Requirements
Degree in business management or a master’s in business administration.
Business, Finance or any other related field
At best, practical experience in a similar position
Good understanding of sales and marketing strategies
Well-developed communicational skills and a customer orientation
Knowledge about budget management, international trade and taxations
Ability to easily comprehend and organize shipment processes
Minimum 5+ years of experience as General Manager,
Has Work experience coffee exporter and importer company
