We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Resource Officer to help our company find and retain excellent talent. You will be entrusted with building a strong employment brand, take part in the effective implementation of company HR policies, and take part in setting objectives for the HR team. To excel as Senior Human Resource Officer, you are required to take part in review, plan, and provide general direction on employee relations programs and activities as well as an adequate review of company rules, regulations, and code of conduct and ensure the implementation of employee training and development programs.

Position: Senior Human Resource Officer

Reports to: Human Resource Director

General Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior HR Officer:

• Take part in the Design, and implementation of various company HR policies that promote a healthy work environment and departmental growth;

• Participate in the Implementing strategic compensation and benefits plans and policies;

• Regularly organize programs for learning, development programs, and interdepartmental interaction;

• Ensure HR addresses employees’ requests and grievances in a timely manner and as per the organizations and Ethiopian Labor Law;

• Address complaints and resolve them by implementing the innovative solution as per the legal and organizational policy and procedure;

• Assist in implementing employees’ career development paths with managers;

• Manages HR metrics and document the observations for future policy-making reference;

• Assist in employee’s performance appraisal and reward program implementation and produce the required periodic progress report;

• Assist in Ensuring the department, HR, is adhering to company policies and regulations;

• Maintain employee records (Employee Personal File, Leave Management, Contract Management) according to policy and legal requirements and produce periodic reports as required;

• Assists in Creating and implementing effective onboarding plans;

• Perform any other related tasks as assigned;

Qualification and Experience:

• MBA and /or BA in Human Resource and Management, Business Management, Administration, and related social fields. 3+ years for MBA, and above 5 years for BA with direct and proven experience in Human Resource Management

Knowledge

• Good understanding in the subject matter of managing the human resource which includes all HRM functions

• Proven experience in human resource management

• Excellent knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Law

• Highly knowledgeable on Sourcing and Head Hunting of Talent

Technical and behavioral Skills:

• Skilled on full-cycle recruitment, retention, training and development, and capacity building

• Proficient in the use of social media and job boards

• Well experienced in sourcing

• Well acquainted with HR software’s including computer software’s: word, excel and PP

• Excellent communicator

• Well-organized and Team Player

• Deliverable: meet expectation and respect deadlines

• Aspire to be A leader and strategic thinker
