Emory University is dedicated to implement a community based Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) and nutrition interventions to support the Ministry of Health’s efforts to increase access to and utilization of Quality Maternal and Newborn Health and Nutrition Services.

Emory University is seeking qualified candidates for the following open posts.
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete record in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Emory University Accounting and Financial Policies and Procedures. She/he also verifies all source documents for proper approval and documentation
Specific Functions and Responsibilities:
Make sure all company finances are maintained orderly, advance are settled properly, and payments are made and received on time
Hold, manage and replenish Petty cash; Record collections, receipts, and payment vouchers on a daily bases
Prepare project cash transfers, bank reconciliation and monthly payroll including remittance of the necessary taxes to the authorities,
Review and compile regional office monthly account document and settle working advances
Ensure all suppliers invoices and bills are paid on a timely basis;
Enters all financial data into the accounting system;
Reconciles bank accounts with books of accounts;
Terms of employment: One year with possible of extension for all positions
Number required: 1 (one)
Education Qualification/Work Experience/Technical Skills
BA degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience;
Three years job related experience in INGO;
Very good communication and presentation skills;
Well organized and ability to act in a professional and ethical manner;
Good computer skill - MS Word, Excel, especially accounting softwares such as Quickbook, peachtree; etc.
