Currently, Dereja is undertaking projects in tackling the issue of youth unemployment with various partners. Dereja is a pioneer in establishing Career Center services in Higher Education Institutions, organizing regional and national job fairs, designing and delivering employability skills training for fresh graduates as well as working on various additional interventions toward building the youth’s employability skills. Thus, IMS is looking for a Candidate Engagement and Partnership Coordinator who will be responsible to coordinate the partnership management and candidate engagement of projects under Dereja.

Job Summary

Candidate Engagement and Partnership Coordinator will report to Candidate Engagement and Partnership Manager and will be responsible to coordinate overall engagement of candidates and partnership between Info Mind Solutions/Dereja and several partner organizations. He/she will work closely with partner governmental and non-governmental organizations, higher academic institutions, social enterprises, associations and private companies. He/she shall coordinate the overall communication and implementation of Dereja projects. He/she will ensure effectiveness, efficiency and functionality of candidates’ engagement and partnership strategies.

Detailed descriptions of the responsibilities are stated as follows:

Partnership Management 

• Strengthening existing successful partnership practices and retain prevailing partners

• Ensure functionality and effectiveness level of partnership management in collaboration with the manager

• Follow up and manage partnership status, communication flow, compliances responses and frequent demands addressed along with the team members

• Proactively identify issues with partners and monitor any risks for quick and strategic remedial actions

• Facilitate to develop functional partnership agreements with the concerned partners as per their need and nature

Candidate Engagement

• In collaboration with team members, devise candidate engagement and retention mechanisms to Dereja interventions

• Timely follow up and coordinate candidate data sourcing, collection and documentation

• Ensure timely provision of candidate data with all the important variables in response to the demand from all concerned partners

Team Management

• Align, collaborate and work with Dereja teams named as Training, Candidate engagement and partnership, Employer relation, M&E, and project team members

• Responsible to lead, harmonize and collaborate with all team members consisting of candidates’ engagement and partnership management  

• Hold regular team meetings, identify routine and strategic issues, devise mitigation measures and communicate to the manager

• Regularly provide both informal and formal coaching and feedback consisting of candidates’ engagement and partnership management team members

• Proactively get feedback on performance and effectiveness from both the manager and IMS leadership

Project Management

• Prepare annual and quarter plan of the project in collaboration with Dereja team members

• Develop and regularly review monthly detailed action plan for Dereja interventions in the assigned areas

• Align the detailed action plan with Training, Candidate engagement and partnership, Employer relation, M&E, and project team members of Dereja

• Ensure timely implementation of the planned activities and review the results

• Regularly review project progress along with team members weekly, monthly and quarterly

• Prepare and submit monthly report to Candidate Engagement and Partnership Manager as per standard reporting template

•  Proactively identify and monitor risks those can affect the project performance and develop mitigation measures

Budget Management:

• Undertake annual and quarter budget planning for detailed activities of Dereja interventions in the assigned areas

• Continuously follow up and track budget utilization status in line with the finance standard and requirements

Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Assurance:

• Undertake regular follow up and monitoring of day-to-day project implementation status in the assigned area

• Collaborate and work with M&E unit for all Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Assurance activities of the project in the assigned area

• Align the detail implementation plan with Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Assurance plan

• Ensure the relevant and important data is collected, organized and reported for improvement, redesign and replanning

Job Requirements

Qualification

• BA, preferably MA in Management, Economics, Project Management, and related social fields

• Excellent comprehension, facilitation, professional writing and communications skills

• 3-5 years of experience in partnership and project management

• 2 years of experience in team management

• Proficient in problem solving, detail-oriented, team work and management skills

• Proficiency in English and Amharic languages

• Working experience with diverse pool of partners such as governmental and non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, social enterprises, private companies, and so forth  

• Good knowledge of team building, team leading, team working 

• Passionate about youth employment and development
