Job Description
Purpose of the Job: The PR and Communication Director will be responsible to ensure that there is consistency across the business’s messages to the consumers, coordinate with internal teams, and act as a key interface between the business and the various audiences.
Main Responsibility
Planning, Organizing, developing, and implementing Public Relations strategies;
Responds to requests from media, press conferences and other sources of information;
Establish and maintain relationships with consumers, clients, employees, and management;
Coaching client representatives for effective and efficient communication and relationship;
Prepares, and distributes original promotional content such as articles, news, press releases, email, blog, and other updates on behalf of the organization;
Managing and sharing content with users on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest;
Build relationships with new mass media and maintain relationships with existing ones;
Writing articles for newspapers and other publications to promote an organization’s mission and activities;
Communicate to internal and external clients about the company’s products, news and other developments;
Coordinate public relations campaigns for special events such as award ceremonies, charity fundraisers, or exhibitions;
Attend special events and promotes corporate milestones, company goals, new products, and community service activities;
Identify the relevant media and analyze targets by conducting research and outlet analyses;
Scheduling interviews with reporters from radio stations, television stations, and other media outlets;
Preparing speeches for executives within an organization, including chief executives, vice presidents, managing directors, and other high-level managers;
Collaborate with marketing to develop advertising, marketing, and promotion plans;
Setting objectives for the PR team and monitoring team members’ performance;
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing software;
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
Strong leadership and team management skills;
Creative thinking, innovative, and problem-solving skill;
Academic Qualifications
MA / BA in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related business fields.
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in marketing, publications, or related fields and out of which 5 years in managerial positions;
