Job Description

Our Company SBG industry PLC seeks to hire competent, experienced and aspiring applicants to fill the following vacant position.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, develops and implements human resources management systems, policies and procedures to support the business needs of the company.

  • Develops department strategic, medium and short term plans and budgets and submit for approval to the General Manager

  • Ensures the approved plans are communicated, understood and implemented within the company;

  • Develop various policies that are appropriate to the purpose of the company (department) and ensures they are communicated ,understood, implemented and maintained within the organization;

  • Ensures relevant management and operational systems are developed and implemented and reviews their suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness

  • Ensures the needs of customers (both internal and external) are determined , their complaints and grievances are handled in order to enhance customer satisfaction and retain customers

  • ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the or his department;

  • ensuring that the quality management system conforms to the requirements of this International Standard;

  • Prepares and implements the annual HR plan to support the overall strategic aims and objectives of the company.

  • Plan, implement and manage recruitment and selection of the company.

  • Plans, develops and implements strategy for employee performance monitoring and assessment, establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of staff performance.

  • Ensures that job descriptions, performance standards, and all related HR functions are managed effectively and efficiently;

  • Conducts salary and benefits survey to ensure internal equity and competitiveness of the company’s salary in the local labor market and sector;

  • Develops, reviews and updates as and when necessary administrative manuals and procedures of the Factory and implements same upon approval.

  • Ensures such general service activities are carried out properly and adequately.

  • Evaluates periodically the performances of employees within the department and monitors the overall employee’s performance management.

  • Maintains awareness creation and knowledge of the organization`s performance management system, methods, and provide suitable interpretation to chief officers, managers, and staff within the organization.

  • Evaluates the performance of employees under his/her direct supervision.

  • Perform other duties as required

Job Requirements

Required educational background & work experience

  • BA Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Public Administration or equivalent, At least (5) Five years Working experiences in manufacturing.

Competencies /Knowledge, Ability and Skill              

  • Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource development and administration

  • Considerable knowledge of organization dynamics

  • Considerable knowledge of company guidelines, and the Ethiopian Law

  • Considerable knowledge of training need assessment and HRD practices

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities on short time frame

  • Ability to create, to foster and grow good working relationship with company employees

  • Strong organization and time management skill

  • Strong issue resolution and facilitation skill

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and spoken English

  • Computer literate in Microsoft word, excel and other applications relevant to the job
