Job Description
Roles:
Ensure taxes are reported and tax payments are settled in a timely manner and in accordance with country regulations.
Ensure adherence to tax regulations of Ethiopia and local municipalities.
Investigate new tax laws and development tax reduction initiatives.
Identify issues that may arise in tax dealing.
Organize quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
Record keeping of foreign income tax filings.
Maintain proper filing for all relevant proclamations, regulations, directives, and other documents.
Act as a liaison officer to the tax office
Ensure robust and efficient tax planning and filing with the relevant bodies.
Keep the confidentiality of financial information.
Being punctual and security follows the office discipline of the organization.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the department.
Job Requirements
BA in Accounting and related.
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Higher education in accounting, finance or business is a plus.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Previous experience in a similar position in a big corporation for at least 3 years
