PSI/Ethiopia wants to reimagine healthcare, put the consumer at the center, and whenever possible, bring quality care to the front door. We are looking for a Marketing Manager to create a self-sustaining market for selected PSI/E programs by (i) designing and implementing marketing strategies, policies, and processes; (ii) putting customers at the heart of programs design and implementation (Consumer Centred approach); and (iii) using effective and creative private and public partnership.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement marketing strategies, policies, and processes for programs.
Support PSI’s Keystone Design process [In-house marketing and strategy development approach].
Liaise with customers/ beneficiaries and key stakeholders in order to plan and produce external and internal marketing strategies and materials.
Lead/conduct interviews and necessary research needed for program design.
Lead the demand creation process and implementation to increase demand for services among the PSI Ethiopia customers by applying harmonized approaches and messages across consortium members and key stakeholders.
Review research materials, statistics, and figures relevant to undertaking marketing strategy and activities within the programs.
Lead the content, design, and testing of SBCC (Social Behaviour Change Communication), marketing and promotional materials, and tools for effective marketing of solutions.
Lead the introduction and implementation of technology within programs.
Support fundraising by developing concept notes and proposals for new business development.
Use knowledge and skills of commercial marketing approaches, and examples of successful and scalable marketing interventions to influence program design.
Develop and maintain the marketing schedule with close follow-up of status.
Conduct periodic evaluations and reporting on the effectiveness of program solutions.
Generic Duties of the Position:
Develop and implement the Activity plans and objectives.·
Monitor and ensure proper utilization of the Department’s budgets.
Review, approve and submit Departmental reports to relevant organs.
Represent the Organization in internal/ external relationships related to the Department.
Participate in group decision-making processes by forming part of different groups/committees
Background
Qualification and Experience:
Master’s degree in marketing, consumer research, private sector development or health communications, or related fields with five (5) years of demonstrated experience out of which two (2) years are mainly focused on strategy development and as a program/ project lead
OR
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, consumer research, private sector development or health communications, or related fields with seven (7) years of demonstrated experience out of which two (2) years are mainly focused on strategy development and as a program/ project lead 4-6 years of experience in relevant grant management duties.
Proficient in MS office applications and market research and analysis tools.
Proficient in English and Amharic languages, both written and verbal communication.
Having experience in Consumer Facing Digital Strategy is a plus.
