Job Description:
Case Manager will be responsible to ensure the support provided to survivors of GBV is survivor centered. She will take on the duty to ensure WGFS activities and case management support provided to survivors are provided in accordance with the international standard and guidelines. She will be account for the formulation, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of UNFPA funded WGFS project designed to respond to the needs of crisis affected communities. The WGFS will be undertaken within the context of the broader WVE response to IDPs, hosting communities affected by the crisis. She will also be responsible to supervise case workers in the management of GBV cases and oversee women and girl's friendly space.
Facilitate trainings, provide support to GBV Case Workers and other staff (PSS, WGSS facilitators, SRH team) related to case management needs. Eg. mapping and safe referral, what case management is
Provide direct technical supervision to GBV case workers - weekly supervision - on the job training and monitoring - field visits.
Organization in coordination with PSS focal point and midwife for case discussion
Participate in any coordination related to GBV, multi-sectoral service delivery and ensure her colleagues are informed and also participate in cluster meetings
Ensure case management services mapping is up to date on their coverage area
Knowledge? Qualifications required for the role
1. University degree in Psychology, sociology and related social science fields
2. Experience in leading/coordinating WGFS in emergency project is required.
3. Proven experience in designing and implementing emergency response projects.
4. Knowledge and experience in application of international technical guidelines and standards in response projects coordination is preferred.
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
Experience and proved good communication skills, management skills - study level IV and V of the Occupational Standards/University Degree. At least 2 years of work experience out of which 1 year in supervisory/managing protection project in emergency context.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
. Knowledge of and ability to implement GBV standards 2. Awareness of emergency responses and interest to work in fragile context 3. Experience and ability to work, communicate with partners and stakeholders in different context.
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
Local travel to target woredas
Language Requirements
Fluent in written and spoken English
Knowledge of Local Language (Afar) is Advantageous
