Responsibilities:

• Oversee all business functions, lead and coordinate the operations within the Telecoms and Managed Services department.

• Drive smooth, effective and efficient operations of Telecoms and Managed Services department.

• Improve organizational structures and approaches to optimize staff performance.

• Develop detailed plans and coordinate with internal and external customers for flawless end to end delivery of telecommunications services.

• Ensure all telecom installation projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget assuring resource availability and allocation.

• Build up teams to deliver both active and passive maintenance services to the customer.

• Lead teams to ensure that field maintenance services are performed to the satisfaction of the customer by achieving network KPIs and meeting customer SLAs.

• Manage the relationships between the company, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

• Evaluate and optimize operations to drive operating costs down ensuring cost-effectiveness in the Telecom and Managed Services department.

• Develop actionable plans for the department in line with the overall company objectives and strategic plan.

• Ensure operations and business delivery is in line with the Balanced Score card.

• Coordinate, manage and track team members and activities to ensure we are delivering our goals effectively and efficiently.

• Review and approve the department LPOs and payment vouchers

• Ensure full compliance with occupational, health and Safety standards and practices.

• Report on Business project and Operations performance every week and every end of the month or as advised by the Country Manager.

• Any other related duty as may be assigned by the Country Manager.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Telecommunications or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related field.

• 5-8 years’ experience in telecommunication industry.

• Strong experience in Power installation, commissioning, maintenance and support of equipment and systems

• Knowledge of Telecom installation, commissioning maintenance and support of Telecommunications infrastructure equipment and systems

• Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, including 2G, 3G and 4G networks.

• A Master’s degree in the related field is an added advantage.

• Project Management Certification
