Roles:

1. Obtains information relative to business requirements in order to design and prepare solution proposal alternatives in line with strategies and best practices

7. Reviews and contributes to system and network performance results, the development of file transfer system standards, strategies, and workflows. Ensure the compliance with documented strategies. Contributes to technical procedures for department use to ensure uniformity of process 

8. Coordinate problem resolution with other corporate groups, principally Worldwide Services for internet, DNS and DHCP issues and change control

9. Develops and reviews system and network performance results, systems standards, strategies, and workflows. Guides the documentation of technical procedures for department use to ensure uniformity of process

10. Diagnoses and provides solutions to problems clients are experiencing. Mid-tier escalation point for problem resolution

11. Installs system hardware and software, ensures proper performance and stabilizes systems

12. Evaluates techniques, develops recommendations and performs testing and certifications

13. Exhibits a broad understanding of the current and future technology architectures, an awareness of the organization’s key strategies and objectives and particular depth of understanding of goals and objectives of an area they may support

14. Participates in the development of technology standards in their area(s) of technical expertise to provide road maps which specify future state and how to get there to increase capabilities, scalability and performance

15. Proposes technology standards and investments (where applicable) supported by a thorough technical analysis, proof of concept and business case

16. Supports the designs of solutions, consulting to the project team(s), assessing impact and interdependencies and provides the recommendations to effectively manage the impact

17. Provides technical guidance, training, direction and reviews the work of colleagues working on architectural issues to ensure alignment

18. The planning and implementation of all changes to the components of test and live messaging infrastructure, from request for change or project initiation through to deployment and review, to support the continued availability, effectiveness and risk compliance of the infrastructure. Ensure that business objectives are met and deliverables achieved to agreed timescale, budget and quality

19. Take responsibility for advising and recommending technical solutions based on experience and industry knowledge, focusing on requirements and planning to meet client needs, which the job holder helps to identify

20. Perform daily/weekly/monthly routine operations for IT Infrastructure System includes but not limited to network device/servers/critical workstations health check (CPU, Memory, Disk Space Utilization, Network Connectivity), critical server event logs check and acts proactively to escalate issues to senior/supervisors

21. Ensure workgroup products or processes meet customer, company, quality, industry, and regulatory requirements. Ensures that hardware, software and procedural IT assets are managed according to the specifications of these forums, and in conjunction with corporate directives and standards

22. Consult with Information Technology staff, providers, and/or user personnel to evaluate requirements, recommend designs, provide cost analyses, help plan projects, and coordinate tasks for installation of all telecommunication, hardware, and software infrastructure. Ensure that all equipment is running in a stable, efficient, and secure manner to help meet the goals of the company’s business plans.

23. Conduct technical research on infrastructure upgrades and components to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current systems. Provide network documentation and document network problems and resolutions for future reference.

24. Analyze and resolve technical problems for established networks. Serve as a technical specialist during infrastructure problems and emergencies; troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure problems.

25. Participate in an on-call rotation for regular-hours and after-hours support, but should be available on a 7-day, 24-hour basis for emergency problem resolution.

26. Works with multiple customers, stakeholders, and system owners to produce requirements, determine feasibility, and analyze cost/benefits requirements for IT design solution options

27. Performs general support activities which can include gathering and analyzing lab test results, report writing, generating documentation, managing documents stored in the Engineering Electronic vaults (eRoom), material tracking, or any other typical engineering support activity required as part of the normal day to day activities required to design, test and release the Hardware Platforms

28. Works as assigned on projects under the direction of a senior Hardware staff member and performs tasks such as research, development, testing (generating tests, recording results, and generating reports), creation of required project documentation and general lab support activities

29. Work with data center design, software design, and operations teams to define hardware project ideas and architectures for technical implementation

30. Drive evaluation and provide recommendations for technology, IP, and vendor selection 

Job Requirements

Position Requirements

• Education:

  • BSC Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT or any related fields with 2 years of proven experience

  Experience:

  • Experience in storage, network, blade systems, experience one or more of the following virtualization technologies and services: VMWare ESX, Virtual Center, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, Puppet, Chef and OpenStack, Experience in networking and web standards such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, web security mechanisms, proxies, firewalls and load balancers any related fields with 2 years of proven experience

Desirable Trainings

•  Cisco CCNP or equivalent professional certification 

• Project/ program management and leadership & top level management related training

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of current protocols and standards, covering all areas of the company’s infrastructure

• Designing and implementing enterprise network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks

• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP

• Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

• Install and operate VMware ESXi, Linux, and Windows server operating systems.

• Installing, supporting, and maintaining server and storage hardware.

  • Preparing RFP, technical proposals, and quotations

  • Giving demonstrations, training, and presentations to help clients discover and understand products/services

• Knowledge of MS Server / Clients OS and MS Office

• Very good knowledge in conception and operating of Network Infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN)

• Excellent knowledge of infrastructure operations covering networks, data centers, servers, storage systems and databases, security and cloud technologies

• Advanced knowledge of designing, supporting, and configuring IT infrastructure

• Strong knowledge and experience in all aspects of IP networking and security infrastructure

• Basic knowledge in databases and desktop technologies is preferred

• Experience with support of IT Infrastructure and to be able to help isolate and troubleshoot complex problems and failures

• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP based Network such as knowledge of CCNA or CISCO network devices & routers is preferred

Languages

• Fluency in spoken and written English
