Job Summery

Under the supervision of the Country Senior Larval Source Management Coordinator will be responsible  for Larval Source Management activities detailed below.

Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinate  and supervise the implementation of the following set of entomological field activities:

  •  Community Mosquto Collectors and Community Vector Control Technicians

  • Entomological monitoring  in  LSM towns

  • Data collections, documentation and transfer into VectorLink Collect

  • Data summary, analysis and reporting

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the respective malaria foal persons in the LSM towns

  • Ensure that the field teams follow all  LSM guidelines, protocols, and techniques for mosquito collections.

  • Ensure that all data from all collection activities are recorded on data entry forms, perform mosquito identifications, labelling, preservation  and undertake data analysis and prepare monitoring reports.

Implement capacity-building efforts to increase and expand the skills of local counterparts and field team technicians

Job Requirement

Qualification requirements include the following:

  • Masters Degree in Entomology, Environmental Studies, Biology or other relevant field.

  • At least six (6) years of relevant professional  experience in the implementation of vector control and entomological monitoring activities.

  • Experience in international development programs, preferrably at USAID-funded programs.

  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research and analytic methodologies.

  • Knowledge about malaria prevention programming is very desirable.

  • English language capabilities
