Purpose of the Job:

To enhance the  quality and effectiveness of patient care by performing operational and safety testing on all clinical equipment as well as assist other clinicians and staff on the proper usage and maintenance of biomedical equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, adjust, maintain, repair, or provide technical support for biomedical equipment

• Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment

• Train clinicians and other personnel on the proper use of equipment

• Prepare Monthly work schedule and monitor their execution

• Keeping and regularly updating logbook for all equipment

• Developing standard operating manuals to enable timely follow up and maintenance of equipment

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering

• Operational License from FMHACA

• Minimum one year work experience

• Well versed/experience in handling medical equipment like ultrasound machines, monitors and laboratory machines

•  Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of design principles
