BEAEKA General Business PLC is a multi-sectored conglomeration of several streams of businesses operating in Ethiopia’s different regions. The company works in diversified business sectors; such as import/export, manufacturing of paints, marble, granite, and edible oil and other related products. BEAEKA also manages a Grade 1 Construction business and agricultural business. Petroleum distribution & sales businesses are some of those streams where BEAEKA has been engaged for the last years.
.Main Purpose
The HR Development Division Head, under the overall leadership of the HR Administration and Development Department Director, is responsible for the overall planning, leadership, management and supervision of the HR Development functions throughout the company.
Main responsibilities
1. Plans, organizes, leads, coordinates and supervises the overall training and development functions of the company.
2. Provides guidance on development for managers and their teams.
3. Assists and advises departments and business units’ managers during the process of training needs assessment.
4. Plans & Implements the training and development agenda; identifies areas that need attention and improvement.
5. Coordinates feasible capacity building programs (training, awareness creation, experience sharing, etc.) & institutional development (kaizen, TQM, BSC, etc.) in collaboration with the President and other departments.
6. Develops companywide training and development programs.
7. Conducts training impact assessment regularly and recommends corrective actions when gaps are created.
8. Assists in the implementation of institutional development packages.
9. Identifies and recommends organizational change instruments.
10. Identifies, develops and promotes tools and guidelines for institutional capacity building & best practices.
11. Generates periodic reports about the performance its division.
12. Performs other duties as assigned or required by Director, Corporate HRM & Development Department.
Team Management
Provides advice and technical expertise to the Senior Management Team, in order to design job profiles, organizational charts, and decision-making channels.
Ensure the proper implementation of the Performance Management System (PMS) throughout the Organization,
Define, approve and/or coordinate the implementation of career development programs to high potential collaborators in order to increase long-term commitment and contribution.
Supervise administrative processes for all staff and manage conflicts when they appear, in order to ensure labor legal compliance.
Provides expertise to Coordinators and supervisors on how to manage HR in different HR aspects (team management, conflict management, job descriptions, org charts, communication lines, …)
Academic requirement: MA/ /BA/ in HRM/Management/ or related fields.
Work experience: 6/8 years experience in HR Development activities. Experience in people management, HR Development, Development of best practice HR policies and systems, etc. activities in large corporate entities with industrial, agricultural, mining and construction sector involvement is advantageous. Extensive knowledge and experience in preparing HR Admin manuals, systems, policies and standards is a benefit.
Desirable Competencies: HR management tools like ERP, HRMIS, Team Management, ToT, PMS, Change Management, etc
