Essential Functions:

Under the supervision of the Plant manager,   the Health, safety and Environmental Senior Officer ensures that the safety and health of the workers and surrounding community are kept well. Makes sure that the premises of the factory are dust free and the surrounding areas are neat and well beautified by gardening and maintaining planned internal roads. Work closely with the human resources and other departments to ensure proper safety of the workers. Make sure that provided uniforms and other safety materials are being used properly. Assess any other safety measures to be maintained in the factory and recommend for senior management.

 Specific Duties and Responsibilities

•  Ensures that the safety and health of the workers and surrounding community is kept well;

• Makes sure that the premises of the factory are dust free and the surrounding areas are neat and well beautified by gardening the area and maintaining planned internal roads;

• Ensures that uniforms and other safety materials given by the factory are being used properly;

• Collaborating with concerned departments, control dust linkages and other waste materials of the factory;

• Makes sure that the residential buildings are kept clean and utilities are all properly functional.

• Arrange periodic maintenance of both office and residential buildings so that doors, windows and washing room areas are functioning properly and also clean.

• Minimize possible risk factors by identifying risky areas and taking prober preventive plans;

• Check and maintain fences of the factory at Chancho, upper and lower stations to ensure the safety of properties of the company.

• Generate ideas to maintain safety measures to both the workers and belongings of the company and implement upon approval; Performs other activities as assigned by immediate supervisor;

Job Requirements

Education level and experiences

•  Bsc in Environmental management or related fields of study from recognized university with 6 years’ relevant work experience
